Confab with Duckweed Gurus of the Planet
Today marks the start of four solid days of hanging with the top duckweed researchers from around the world here at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. The event is called, “2nd International Conference on Duckweed Research and Applications.” It is chaired by Dr. Eric Lam of duckweed bioenergy fame. This is a marvelous opportunity and I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone and learning as much as possible. I’ll give a presentation on GreenSun Products on Saturday. The best part is, I get to meet many of our ILA members in person at this event. I know their voices well from our conference calls but it isn’t the same thing as being there. Now we are. Wow.
I’ve got a “splash” website up. www.GreenSunProducts.com It’s not fleshed out yet so don’t expect a miracle. I have not run it by my graphic artist who I know is going to” tsk tsk tsk”. Still, given the fact that I’ve been in duckweed up to my ears for weeks now, I am pleased to get at least SOMETHING up and running website-wise. Your comments are greatly appreciated.
Speaking of duckweed up to my ears, actually it is in my hair so often, my kids don’t even comment anymore. A proud and rare event to be able to shop Walmart without the social stigma of green plants riding along on the back of my head.

Sue, I need to give you a big hug. You always manage to put my dilemmas in hilarious perspective! Maybe I should think in terms of new duckweed hair trends…

It’s Walmart, sweetie, not Rodeo Drive.
Every time you went in there with small green clumps in your hair, there were two kinds of people:
Most didn’t even notice.
The rest thought, “Why didn’t I think of that?”
