I’m starting a Duckweed Heroes page and am opening the floor to nominees. If you’d like to nominate someone, here is my initial criteria for the honor:
A Duckweed Hero…

2. Must be a visionary in sustainable aquatic agriculture and actually have produced duckweed for a specific end use of feed, fuel, food, or fertilizer.
3. Are generous with their hard-won knowledge.
So far, I’m nominating the following people. Send me your nominees and I’ll add them to the list:
Andrew Salzer- Thailand farmer who successfully raised tens of thousands of ducks on thirteen tons of fresh duckweed he produced daily.
Paul Skillicorn- Bangladesh/US Developed a municipal wastewater remediation system using duckweed to produce fish and pure clean water- first of its kind in the world.
